NEPAL



1934 – 8.1 earthquake killed 10,700 people in Nepal. (AFP yahoo news 26 April 2015).

Aug 1988 – 6.8 earthquake killed 721 people. (AFP 26 April 2015 yahoo news).

1996-2004 – Maoist rebels tried to set up a peoples republic of Nepal in 1996. The King declared war on the communists, prince Dinendre shot and killed his father, King Birenara and other members of the Royal family in June 2001, he also shot himself.
